The BreathCall is a pneumatic (air-activated) nurse call cord that works with virtually any nurse call system. BreathCall is for patients with little to no motor skills and is activated by simply breathing into a disposable straw and filter assembly. It has a flexible gooseneck with universal mounting clamp. The Mini Breath Call offers the same features of the standard with a more streamline design to fit smaller areas. All BreathCalls come with a 9' cord, clamp and filter and straw kit. Standard Breathcalls have 36" black tubing from clamp to mouthpiece, and Mini BreathCalls have 28" white tubing. BreathCall and Mini BreathCall are single patient use devices that require only a very small amount of pressure to activate the call function by simply blowing a small puff of air into the tube to activate. Easy Integration and No Voltage! The BreathCall, as with all of our products are NO voltage and are unique in their compliance with UL standards of safety. Our accessory packs (the part that plugs into your existing system) are simple to integrate into your current nurse call system. We offer an extensive list of options and can customize any of our cords to fit your needs. Why Pneumatic? All Dwyer nurse call cords are pneumatic so they are safe in oxygen-enriched-environments and MRI testing rooms. Additionally, the BreathCall is easy-to-use and requires very little pressure to operate making it a great choice for patients with arthritis/joint or dexterity limitations. Clients also report patients satisfaction with its simplicity as many older patients find the multi-function/multi-button, remote style calls to be confusing. BreathCall makes it easy; Simply press the pad to call the nurse. Where is it used? The BreathCalll is used in a host of patient environments including, but not limited to: -Hospitals -Surgical Centers -Rehabilitation -Long Term Care -Nursing Homes -Hospital MRI -Imaging Centers Plug Description: This is a 1/4 Inch Right Angle Phone Jack style plug that has a brass ring and sleeve; This makes contact by tip and sleeve. Electrical Characteristics: Normally closed contact. blowing into soft straw mouthpiece breaks contact momentarily and system switches over to call circuit and holds call signal until reset at bed station or central nurse station is depressed.
